We're now seeking several E/E Design Leads/ ECU Node Owners within Exterior Lighting for a project towards our customer in Gothenburg.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating and leading the work within electrical hardware to develop exterior lighting solutions and to secure the deliveries within the given time.
• Developing electrical hardware related requirements
• Understanding, developing and optimizing the supplier’s electrical hardware solutions when it comes to performance, power consumption, thermal, cost etc.
• Leading hardware joint reviews, to check the quality status of the suppliers’ electrical hardware solutions and related product documentation.
• Supplier evaluation, checking the electrical hardware solutions and processes.
• System/functional safety and cyber security joint reviews.

Required Skills:

• M.Sc. or a B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering, physics or equivalent
• Volvo Cars experience as electrical design lead (2+ years)
• Exterior lighting experience from automotive OEM or T1 supplier (5+ years)
• Electrical Hardware knowledge
• Experience from development of ECUs (Electronic Control Unit)
• Supplier management experience
• SystemWeaver (CarWeaver) Knowledge
• eiDB (Electrical Interface Database) Knowledge
• VPDS (Volvo Cars Product Development System) Knowledge
• Knowledge in System Safety ISO 26262 and Cyber Security ISO 21434
• Knowledge in AUTOSAR
• Excellent skills in English, both verbal and written

• Leadership skills

Meritorious:

• Experience from development of electrical hardware in rear- or front lamps
• Knowledge of PCBs including thermal simulations
• Electronic design experience with components such as LEDs and driver circuits
• Experience from environmental testing of electrical hardware, including EMC
• Knowledge in vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet)
• Knowledge in System and SW development, and testing
